The McNamara Law Firm, PC, assists seniors and their families navigate the maze of long-term care issues, asset protection, and Elder Law.  The team of professionals offer invaluable direction, advocacy, and planning for those suffering from Alzheimer’s, dementia, stroke, and other life-changing medical conditions.  As a “Life Care Planning” Law Firm, we focus on the numerous and  complex issues which affect our clients − Incapacity and Health Care issues,  Medicare, Medi-Cal long-term care benefits, VA Aid and Attendants Benefits, Trusts/Wills, Power of Attorney, etc.  For more information about “Life Care Planning”, please visit our Life Care Planning page.

Incapacity and illness are devastating to seniors, as well as to the families who love them.  We help the senior and families understand the public benefits available (Medi-Cal, VA Aid and Attendance benefits, etc.), the eligibility rules, and assist in obtaining the proper benefits.

We effectively advocate on behalf of our clients to  ensure they receive proper and appropriate care for their unique circumstances − whether it be in the home, in a hospital, board and care, assisted living, skilled nursing, or other  care facility. Our Elder Care Coordinators assist the families with care meetings (with medical personnel or care facilities),  with the Medi-Cal and Veterans Administration system, and in many other situations involving their loved one’s care needs.

Our firm also focuses on legal areas which affect those handling a deceased loved one´s affairs. Losing a loved one is difficult, but adding the pressure of administering an estate without proper guidance can be overwhelming. Our firm assists executors, trustees, surviving spouses, and family members in after-death procedures which often include trust administration and probate.
