CRTS Course Syllabus
Course Pre-requisites, Co-requisites, and/or Other Restrictions
CRTS course eligibility includes approved business profile and high school diploma or equivalent. CRTS Exam eligibility includes approved business profile, background screening, volunteer and work hours as outlined by the Society. Education and experience requirements must be met prior to certification.
Course Description
CRTS Training is the original industry training program and has gradauted hundreds of Certified professionals throughout North America. CRTS training programs include unique concepts and research to help establish the most highly qualified field ofprofessionals to assist families in need.
The CRTS Senior Transition Specialist Program is divided into three modules with a total of 12 units. Each unit represents approximately 2 credit hours for a total of 24 education credit hours.
The CRTS programs also include: free marketing material, flyers, brochures, press information, forms, power point presentations and more.
Module 1: Understanding the Senior Client
- Understand how relocation and transition services fit into today's market and why this need driven industry has been elevated to serve the senior client in a standardized, ethical and professional manner.
- Learn the high touch/high harm aspects of transition trauma and know which resources are available to you and how to define your responsibilities by understanding where your job ends and theirs may begin.
- Learn about the caregiving network, senior living options, communications, plus the health, financial and social fundamentals of the senior market.
Module 2: Business Processes
- Learn how to perform a relocation or manage an age-in-place home transition as you learn from the industry experts.
- Gain a thorough understanding of organizing, packing, sorting, documentation, asset management, unpack and resettlement as you review home simulation and join in scenario exercises.
- Tour senior living environments to gain a better understanding of strategy, logistics and the importance of the move in processes.
Module 3: Starting/Managing your Business
- The professional aspect of the CRTS designation is important to our entire member registry.
- Learn about pricing, estimating, business liability coverage options and requirements.
- Review worker's compensation, employee hiring and training practices, understand hazards in the workplace, as well as service agreements
CRTS Exam and CRTS Master Opportunities:
Industry Professionals who meet CRTS exam and eligibility requirements may earn the CRTS designation and recognition for long term service and contributions to the industry. Find out more about the CRTS designation.
