Services Offered: Senior Advisor
Some years ago my Father-in-law lost the love of his life, high school sweetheart and wife of 53 years. In my attempt to help him and spend time with him during that first year, I decided to volunteer at Santa Clarita Senior Center’s cafeteria serving lunch. This way I had a reason to invite my Father-in-law to lunch every Friday in the hopes he would find comfort around other people. Ultimately it wasn’t his “thing”, but I found that it was very rewarding to me and I kept it up even when he had decided not to go anymore.
I have always enjoyed the company of seniors and have been fascinated by their stories and compelled to help ease their burdens if I can. It is very important to me that all seniors receive the respect they deserve and for those who have out lived their loved ones, to not be forgotten. These past few years I have enjoyed participating in the “Be a Santa to a Senior” program sponsored by Home Instead. A program that helps to bring a little holiday cheer to seniors whom may not have much cheer during the holidays.
So, as a Real Estate Agent with Dilbeck Real Estate, it only seems natural that I pursue the SRES (Senior Real Estate Specialist) designation. The SRES is a Real Estate designation that focuses on the needs of Baby Boomers and Seniors. This course has been extremely informative and has equipped me with the resources to better serve my clients of all ages. Seniors and Baby Boomers most definitely have unique challenges. Deciding to sell your home or your parents home can be very stressful and frankly scary. I have chosen this direction in my career so that I might help alleviate some of that stress for my clients in the most knowledgeable, caring and respectful way.
